Indian skipper Virat Kohli and his deputy Rohit Sharma have expressed their anger and disappointment after the inhumane Christchurch Mosque shooting incident that took place on Friday, March 15.

While Rohit felt the terrorist attack was "heartbreaking", Virat labelled it "shocking and tragic" before offering his thoughts with the people of New Zealand as well as the travelling Bangladesh cricket team, whose players and support staff had arrived at the Masjid al Noor mosque in Christchurch for prayers when they got warned not to go inside as the shooting unfolded.

Subsequently, the third game of New Zealand versus Bangladesh Test series that was scheduled to begin on Saturday (March 16) at the Hagley Oval has been called off.

New Zealand Cricket made the announcement through their official Twitter handle and noted, "Our heartfelt condolences go out to the families and friends of those affected by the shocking situation in Christchurch. A joint decision between NZC and the @BCBtigers has been made to cancel the Hagley Oval Test. Again both teams and support staff groups are safe."

Even veteran off-spinner Harbhajan Singh tweeted regarding the development and wrote, "Shattered with this terrible news.Another terror attack. Where are we all heading? These cowards have no religion. Thoughts and prayers are with all the victims."

Michael Clarke too posted, "Horrific news out of Christchurch! Absolutely devastating. Thoughts and prayers go out to all affected at this extremely sad time."
