India's opener Prithvi Shaw is eager to make a comeback after being ruled out of the Australia Test series down under because of injury during the practice match of India against Cricket Australia XI last year.
The youngster, after suffering a blow, was sent back to home for recovery before the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) which is set to start from March 23.
Shaw had a chat with former India cricketer Sachin Tendulkar at his Bandra residence before stepping into the field again. As per the Mumbai Mirror, Sachin feels that Indian youngsters like Prithvi Shaw and Shubman Gill to enjoy their initial phase of career.
"I've spoken about Prithvi earlier as well, having watched him bat in the nets as a little boy, all of 8-9 years of age, he had something special even back then. I knew instantly that he would play for India," Tendulkar had said.
Reports say Shaw picked up some habits that didn't help him to recover fast. His ankle injury may not get fully recovered till the IPL but may be enough to play the tournament.
"I will be fit before the Indian Premier League and I am trying hard to reach full fitness. I am working on my ankle as well as on my upper body," Shaw had said while adding that he had received full support from his teammates after the injury in Australia.
Recently, Prithvi had posted a verse of the Bollywood movie Gully Boy's song 'Apna time aayega'. He modified it for himself and wrote, "Aapna time aayega... Injury se fit hoke... Mein aur run banayega... Aapna time aayega.."
