Kohli and Bumrah are heading the batting and bowling list in ICC ODI rankings

India skipper Virat Kohli and speedster Jasprit Bumrah maintained their positions as numero uno ODI batsman and bowler in the latest released ICC rankings.

With the scores of 3, 104, 46, 45, 43 and 60 in the recently held ODIs against Australia and New Zealand, Kohli remained at the pinnacle of ICC ODI batting rankings with 887 points. Kohli’s limited-overs deputy Rohit Sharma retained the second spot with 854 rating points to his name. Rohit's fellow opener Shikhar Dhawan is the third Indian to feature in the top-10 list. The southpaw is at tenth place with 744 points.

Veteran wicketkeeper batsman MS Dhoni has also moved up in the rankings owing to his Player-of-the-Series performance in India’s 2-1 ODI series victory over Australia last month. Dhoni has climbed three places to 17th position in the batting list for a run, which included three consecutive half-centuries Down Under. Kedar Jadhav (up eight places to 35th) is another one to advance for India in the list led by Kohli.

As far as the bowlers' list is concerned – India’s Jasprit Bumrah is heading it with 808 rating points. Having taken 10 wickets in 6 ODIs against Australia and New Zealand, wrist-spinner Kuldeep Yadav is at the fourth spot in the list. Kuldeep's spin partner Yuzvendra Chahal (up one place to fifth) and fast bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar (up six places to 17th) are among others to move up in the latest rankings.

New Zealand pacer Trent Boult surged to third in the rankings for bowlers after finishing with 12 wickets in the series against India. Afghanistan leg-spinner Rashid Khan is one spot ahead of Boult with 788 rating points.

The latest update also takes into account the five-match series between South Africa and Pakistan, and the three matches between the United Arab Emirates and Nepal.

For South Africa, Quinton de Kock (up one place to eighth), Hashim Amla (up three places to 13th) and Reeza Hendricks (up 36 places to 94th) have moved up among batsmen while Andile Phehlukwayo’s eight wickets have seen him gain 13 places and reach 19th position and Dwaine Pretorious has moved up from 53rd to 44th slot.

Meanwhile, India have accumulated 122 points on the back of series wins over Australia and New Zealand and are placed behind top-ranked England (126) in the updated list.
