Afghanistan batsman Karim Sadiq has recently received the precious gift from the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Chennai Super Kings (CSK) trio of MS Dhoni, Suresh Raina and Dwayne Bravo on Monday (11 June).

Afghanistan who earned Test status along with Ireland last June are set to write their name in the history of Test cricket when they will play number one ranked India in their maiden Test match at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Thursday.

Meanwhile, both countries boards –Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) and Indian Cricket Board (BCCI) do not only share a great camaraderie but also players from both sides also enjoy each other company and always celebrate each other’s success. 

The BCCI has done everything possible to help the ever-improving nation concerning the cricket and even they gave them a home base here in Noida. Even Indian players do not get tired in complimenting the young Afghanistan players’ talent and their success on the field.

On Monday (11 June), Sadiq went on social media to reveal that the CSK trio gifted him the jerseys and an autographed bat before the historic Test in India. However, he is not part of Afghanistan's maiden Test squad but has been a crucial part of the side over the years.

The occasional wicket-keeper batsman feels really grateful after receiving such a wonderful gesture from the greats of the game. He also termed Dhoni as the all-time best captain in his tweet, as well as, thanked the trio for the respectable gift.

Karim also shared a picture of signed jerseys on his Twitter handle with a caption, “Thanks ???? all time best captain ????‍✈️ @msdhoni thanks @DJBravo47 @ImRaina from your respectable ????gift”
