India legends Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, and Test vice-captain Rishabh Pant will play for Mumbai and Delhi respectively in the upcoming Vijay Hazare Trophy 50-over tournament, which begins on December 24.
The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) revealed Mumbai's lineup for the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26 on Friday. Former Indian captain Rohit Sharma has been added to the Mumbai team and will play two matches in the forthcoming white-ball domestic league.
All-rounder Shardul Thakur will lead the Mumbai team in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. Suryakumar Yadav, India's T20I captain, and opener Yashasvi Jaiswal have not been included in the squad for the next competition.
The group stage of the Vijay Hazare Trophy will take place from December 24 to January 8, 2026.
On the other hand, the Delhi District Cricket Association (DDCA) also announced the Delhi squad for the Vijay Hazare Trophy.

The Delhi Senior Men's team will include star cricketers Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant, Ishant Sharma, and Navdeep Saini. Rishabh Pant has been named captain of the Delhi team, marking his return to leadership in domestic cricket. Ayush Badoni has been selected vice-captain of the team.
Senior pacers Ishant Sharma and Navdeep Saini bring experience and depth to Delhi's bowling assault. At the same time, the presence of Virat Kohli enhances the batting lineup and provides important leadership in the dressing room.
Harshit Rana will join the Delhi side after completing his commitment with the Indian team.
