At the BCCI's apex council's Annual General Meeting (AGM) on December 22, the contracts of Indian superstars Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, as well as female players in domestic cricket, will be reviewed.  

Decisions about the contracts of Kohli and Rohit, who have both retired from Tests and T20Is during the past year and currently only play in ODI cricket, are anticipated at the 31st AGM of the top council, which will take place virtually.

Along with seasoned all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, who was named vice-captain for the most recent Test assignment, and star fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah, India's Test and ODI captain Shubman Gill may be placed in the A-plus category.

Among other things, the board's digital properties will be updated, and umpire and match referee compensation will be revised.

It will be the first AGM of the apex council since the BCCI chose Mithun Manhas as president and Raghuram Bhatt as treasurer in September. Devajit Saikia and Prabhtej Singh Bhatia were named secretary and joint secretary, respectively.

Saurashtra Cricket Association’s Jaydev Shah was the councilor when the BCCI held its last elections.

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli moved up to second spot in the latest ICC ODI batting rankings, within touching distance of Rohit Sharma’s no. 1 spot. This was thanks to the 302 runs he scored in the recent three-match ODI series between India and South Africa. Kohli made two centuries and one fifty, including the highest score of 135 in the first ODI.

On the other hand, Rohit Sharma made 146 runs, including two fifties, in the three ODIs.
