The BCCI on Tuesday (November 4) announced the 15-member India A squad for the upcoming Rising Star Asia Cup, set to begin on November 14 in Qatar.
Wicketkeeper-batter Jitesh Sharma has been named captain of the side, while all-rounder Naman Dhir will be his deputy.
Teenage batting sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi is also part of the 15-member squad, also featuring Priyansh Arya, Ramandeep Singh, Ashutosh Sharma and Yudhvir Charak.
The teams for the competition remain the same as Asia Cup 2025 and groupings will also be the same. While Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and Hong Kong form Group A, India A is slotted in Group alongside UAE and Oman and Pakistan A.
The high-octane India versus Pakistan clash is slated to be held on November 16. The arch-rivals could then meet in the final only as there is no Super Four stage in this tournament. The final will be played on November 23.
