
Rajasthan Royals' (RR) teenage sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi played a key role with the bat in his team’s six-wicket victory over Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi on Tuesday (May 20).
Chasing 188 to win, Suryavanshi slammed 57 runs from 33 balls with 4 boundaries and 4 sixes, helping RR get over the line in 17.1 overs.
After the game, Suryavanshi touched CSK legend MS Dhoni’s feet. The heartwarming moment, which went viral on the internet, took place during the post-match handshake between the players of the two teams.

The match against CSK was RR’s last league match of the ongoing season, and the inaugural IPL champions ended their campaign on a high note.
For the Royals, Yashasvi Jaiswal finished as the leading run-scorer in IPL 2025. He played all 14 matches and, with the help of six half-centuries, amassed a total of 559 runs.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi also left a lasting impressing on the fans, experts alike. In his maiden IPL season, the 14-year-old aggregated 252 runs from 7 innings at an average of 36 and a strike rate of 206.55, including one hundred and a fifty.
In the list of bowlers, Wanindu Hasaranga, Jofra Archer and Maheesh Theekshana returned with 11 wickets each for RR.
