Win or lose, the Delhi Capitals' dressing room is always a party, according to bowling coach Munaf Patel. Despite the outcome of the game, the coach claimed that the Delhi dressing room is always a party ahead of their IPL 2025 encounter against the Mumbai Indians.
This season, Delhi's batting order has been chopped and switched multiple times, which has caused the club to play inconsistently. KL Rahul produced an incredible century while batting first in their previous match against the Gujarat Titans, but Delhi lost the match.
Asked about the team's batting order and the multiple combination changes throughout the season, Munaf's reply had everyone in splits.
"It is very difficult to talk in the dressing room. We discuss the line-up at the hotel. What will you discuss in the dressing room? You win a match, you go to the hotel, you lose a match, you go to the hotel. In the dressing room, if you win, it's a party; if you lose, it's a party, what will you discuss there?
When we are in the dressing room, our goal is to leave from there as soon as possible. That is our only goal," Munaf Patel said at a pre-match press conference.
DC are still in race for IPL 2025 playoffs and have two matches to go. They take on Mumbai Indians on Wednesday, and then play against Punjab Kings. Gujarat Titans, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, and Punjab Kings have already qualified for the top 4 this season.
