On Saturday, May 17, the IPL 2025 will resume with a thrilling matchup between the Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.
But before the cricketing action kicks off, RCB’s all-rounder Tim David stole the headlines – and not for his batting.
The majority of the players hurried to seek cover as the stadium was soaked with rain. But Tim David, unfazed by the rain, wearing shorts, jumped onto a wet cover and created his own private splash pool. He ran onto the covers filled with water puddles and slid across them ,splashing water everywhere.
Everyone was in stitches after his spontaneous rain-swim, and his teammates cheered him on when he returned to the dressing room, drenched and beaming.

Tim David has been excellent for RCB as a finisher with 186 runs, including a blistering unbeaten 50, averaging a staggering 93 and striking at 194.
With 16 points apiece from 11 games, the Gujarat Titans and Royal Challengers Bengaluru are at the top of the standings. However, Gujarat's higher Net Run Rate (NRR) of +0.793 over RCB's +0.482 puts them at the top.
With 15 points, including one no-result, and an NRR of +0.376, Punjab Kings is just behind them. With 14 points from 12 games and the best NRR to date (+1.156), the Mumbai Indians are still a serious contender.
While Kolkata Knight Riders (11 points from 12 games, +0.193 NRR) require victories and a little bit of luck, Delhi Capitals (13 points, +0.362 NRR) are still in the hunt. It will be difficult for the Lucknow Super Giants (10 points, -0.469 NRR) to get in the top four.
Poor NRRs have sealed the fate of Sunrisers Hyderabad, Rajasthan Royals, and Chennai Super Kings, eliminating them from playoff contention.
