Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) are taking on Delhi Capitals (DC) in the 55th match of IPL 2025 on Monday (May 5) at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. SRH captain Pat Cummins won the toss and asked DC to bat first.

And Cummins led from the front as he removed the first three DC batters inside powerplay overs. Karun Nair (0), Faf du Plessis (3), and Abishek Porel (8) all fell to Cummins, with Ishan Kishan taking catches.

The score soon became 6/62 as KL Rahul (10) and Axar Patel (6), along with Vipraj Nigam (18), fell. And Nigam’s dismissal was celebrated joyously by SRH owner Kavya Maran in the stands.

Vipraj Nigam was run out after scoring 18 runs off 17 balls in the 13th over of DC's innings because of a miscommunication with Tristan Stubbs. Nigam lost his wicket while trying to take two runs.

Even though he was clearly dissatisfied, Kavya Maran, the owner of SRH, who was at the stadium, responded enthusiastically, and the video of her response is currently going viral online.

 However, Tristan Stubbs (41*) and Ashutosh Sharma (41 with 2 fours and 3 sixes) added 66 runs in 45 balls for the 7th wicket as they took SRH to 133/7 in 20 overs. Apart from Cummins’ 3/18, Jaydev Unadkat, Harshal Patel, and Eshan Malinga took one wicket each.
