Virat Kohli's brother Vikas turned to social media to criticise former Indian cricket team hitter Sanjay Manjrekar. Manjrekar's numerous social media postings regarding Royal Challengers Bengaluru have already created controversy during the present IPL 2025.
Following the match between RCB and the Mumbai Indians. Manjrekar claimed that the rivalry between Virat and Bumrah is no more a 'best vs. best' competition.
He even indicated that Virat is past his prime, and while deciding on the top 10 batters for the IPL 2025, he ignored Virat's name despite the fact that the RCB star batter is now the leading run-getter.
Two weeks later, Manjrekar took to X, then known as Twitter, to release a "batting only list that matters," which included seven players' IPL 2025 run tally and strike rate. However, Kohli's name did not appear on the list.
Vikas took a dig at the former cricketer on the social media platform Threads. "Mr sanjay manjrekar.Career odi strike rate : 64:31.Easy to talk about 200 plus strike rates," wrote Vikas.

Kohli currently stands second on the list for most runs in IPL 2025, managing 443 runs in 10 innings at 63.29 and a strike rate of 138.87. His performance has played a crucial role in RCB standing at the top of the table, with 14 points from 10 matches. They are now a win away from booking their place the playoffs.
