Before their IPL 2025 match against the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on April 30, Yuzvendra Chahal was able to obtain a bat from MS Dhoni, but his Punjab Kings (PBKS) teammate Glenn Maxwell gave him a lot of trolling. Dhoni gave Chahal his ODI cap in 2016, and the two have remained close throughout the years.
Chahal managed to obtain one of Dhoni's most valuable bats before to the match on Wednesday and came back to the Punjab dressing room to flaunt it. In the room, Maxwell inquired as to whether it was from the CSK tale.
Maxwell quickly asked, "What are you going to do with it?"
In response, Chahal used some shadow batting and stated that he would bat with the willow that Dhoni had given him. Maxwell responded to this in a funny way, reminding the leg-spinner that he is typically the one substituted out during games.
"You get subbed out in every game," said Maxwell.
Priyansh Arya, who was also in the room, joked that some kid in Haryana would surely take it away from Chahal.
"Some kid in Haryana is going to take this bat for sure," joked Priyansh.
