Vaibhav Suryavanshi broke a lot of record when he scored his maiden century for Rajasthan Royals (RR) against Gujarat Titans (GT) in the ongoing IPL 2025. Post the match, Suryavanshi got emotional while calling his father Sanjiv and the video was shared by RR on their social media handles.
With his century in just 35 balls—the second-fastest in IPL history—14-year-old Suryavanshi stole the show. Vaibhav became the youngest player to make a century in both the IPL and men's T20 cricket, and it was the fastest century ever by an Indian batter.
He hit 11 sixes and 7 fours in his knock that lasts 38 balls and he scored 101 runs, as RR defeated GT by 6 wickets in Jaipur.
Immediately following his hectic IPL hundred for RR, an emotional Vaibhav Suryavanshi contacted his father.
The Royals defeated GT with ease thanks in large part to Suryavanshi's century, and the young star called his father as soon as the game was done. The child was speaking to his father with RR team manager Romi Bhinder on his side. After the hundred, according to Suryavanshi's father, it seemed as though they were living a dream.
"It feels like a dream. Feels like we are still dreaming. Our phones have been ringing constantly," said Suryavanshi's dad.
