Mumbai Indians (MI) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will square off in Match 45 of the IPL 2025 season at the Wankhede Stadium on Sunday (April 27).

While the hosts will come into the match on the back of a seven-wicket victory against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), LSG will enter after an eight-wicket thrashing at the hands of Delhi Capitals (DC).

Ahead of the game, veteran MI opener Rohit Sharma engaged in a lighthearted banter with LSG all-rounder Shardul Thakur.

Rohit attended a training session at the Wankhede, and during that he hilariously trolled Shardul for coming late for practice.

In a video uploaded by MI on social media platform X, Rohit can be heard saying, “Kya re a hero, abhi aa raha hai, ghar ka team hai kya?"

Both teams are alive in the race to qualify for IPL 2025 playoffs. While MI are holding fourth spot on the points table, LSG are occupying sixth position in the team standings.
