The Rajasthan Royals (RR)
pace bowler Jofra Archer was caught sleeping in the dressing room during their IPL 2025 match against the Punjab Kings in Mullanpur on April 5, 2025.
Jofra Archer was spotted dozing under a blanket in the dressing area while the action continued in the middle. The official broadcaster captured the surprising event on camera during the match's first innings on Saturday at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium.
The images of Archer happily resting down with a blanket covering him generated a wave of emotions on social media. He appeared to have dozed off in the middle of the innings as his teammates battled against a well-drilled Punjab Kings bowling attack.

Meanwhile, RR posted 205/4 after being asked to bat first by PBKS, who won the toss. Yashasvi Jaiswal top-scored with 67, with 3 fours and 5 sixes to his name. Sanju Samson (38) and Riyan Parag (43*) contributed as well.
However, when it came to opening the bowling for the RR team, Jofra Archer woke up on the right side of the bed and wreaked havoc in the first over itself. He began by clean bowling Priyansh Arya with the first ball of the PBKS innings.
The in-form PBKS captain Shreyas Iyer came out in the middle and hit Archer for 2 fours in the five balls he faced. On the last ball of the first over, Iyer backed away, anticipating a bouncer, but Jofra outsmarted him and bowled a length ball. Iyer missed the ball, which clattered into the stumps, leaving PBKS 11/2 in the first over.
