Rinku Singh, a Kolkata Knight Riders batter, found himself at the center of a lighter moment following the KKR's (KKR) IPL 2025 match against the Mumbai Indians (MI) on Monday.  

A short video shared on MI's official social media accounts shows Rinku being mocked by MI batsman Tilak Varma for asking Rohit Sharma for a bat. This sparked laughter, and MI captain Hardik Pandya participated in the lighthearted banter.

Toward the end of the video, young KKR player Angkrish Raghuvanshi is seen clutching a bat and appearing genuinely thrilled, adding to the festive atmosphere.

“Khud ke naam ka itna accha bat hai, phir bhi bat mangta hai dekho” (He has such a good bat in his name, yet he’s asking for one!),” Tilak joked at the expense of Rinku.

Rinku has already been observed begging for bats from elite players. Last season, he got a bat from none other than Virat Kohli. However, when Rinku recently contacted Kohli for another bat, the former RCB captain was less amused, especially after Rinku admitted to breaking the previous one while facing a spinner.  

Despite this, Rinku later revealed in a viral video that he had received a new bat from Virat, which delighted his supporters.

More recently, the KKR player was seen demanding a bat from India's T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav, carrying on his history of collecting bats from the game's greatest.
