Riyan Parag was the center of attention when the Rajasthan Royals played their first game of the IPL 2025 season in Guwahati, Assam, their home away from home. The crowd at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium cheered for the hometown hero, who was standing in as the Rajasthan Royals' captain on Wednesday, March 26.

During the second innings of the game, a fan evaded security and raced onto the field. As Riyan Parag prepared to bowl his fourth over of the KKR innings, the fan approached the stand-in captain, touched his feet, and hugged him.

Riyan was taken aback by the gesture as the crowd cheered on Assam's first IPL superstar. The pitch invader led to a delay in play, but the security officials quickly attended the situation and took the fan off the field.
