Suryavanshi made his Ranji Trophy debut for Bihar at age of 12 years, 284 days | BCCIVaibhav Suryavanshi, who is the youngest ever player in the IPL 2025 mega auction, at 13 years and 243 days, was bought by Rajasthan Royals (RR) for INR 1.10 Crs on day 2 of the event on November 25, 2024.

Born on March 27, 2011, Vaibhav's cricket career began at the age of four, when his father Sanjeev recognized his interest in the sport and built a tiny playing space in their backyard. By the age of nine, he had joined a cricket academy in Samastipur, where his outstanding talent was quickly recognized.

At the age of 12, the young prodigy made his Vinoo Mankad Trophy debut for Bihar, scoring almost 400 runs in five matches. Vaibhav made history in January 2024 by becoming the second-youngest player in Bihar's Ranji Trophy history, making his first-class debut at the age of 12 years and 284 days. 

He made it into both the India A and India B U-19 teams, playing in important tournaments that served as a selection platform for the ICC U-19 World Cup 2024. His most famous success came in September 2024, when he scored a stunning 62-ball 104 for India U-19 in a youth Test against Australia in Chennai.
