Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) are facing each other in the Eliminator match of IPL 2024 at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad on Wednesday (May 22).

Opting to bowl first, RR drew the first blood in the fifth over as Trent Boult dismissed Faf du Plessis for 17 off 14 balls. A brilliant catch from Rovman Powell marked the end of RCB captain’s innings.

On the fourth delivery of the fifth over, Boult bowled a short delivery and Du Plessis went for a pull shot but didn’t get the desired connection.

Powell, who was stationed at deep mid-wicket, flew full length forward to complete the stunning catch.

Notably, the winner of the Eliminator between RR and RCB will take on Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in Qualifier 2 at Chepauk on Friday (March 24).

Having defeated SRH in Qualifier 1, Kolkata Knight Riders have secured a place in the IPL 2024 final, scheduled for Sunday (May 26) in Chennai.
