Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Delhi Capitals (DC) are facing each other in Match 62 of the IPL 2024 season at the iconic Chinnaswamy Stadium on Sunday (May 12).

Invited to bat first, RCB got off to a positive start thanks to some fireworks from Virat Kohli. The star batter looked in his element as he smashed Ishant Sharma for a big six over deep mid-wicket in the very first over.

The rivalry between Kohli and Ishant resumed in the fourth over. The RCB opener started the over with a boundary and also exchanged a few words with the DC pacer. Kohli followed the boundary with a maximum but Ishant had the last laugh in that over as he dismissed the former caught behind on the fourth delivery for 27 off 13 balls.

After getting the prized scalp, Ishan Sharma was overjoyed. The lanky fast bowler celebrated the wicket by gently pushing Virat Kohli, who took it sportingly and enjoyed the fun moment.

After Kohli’s dismissal, Rajat Patidar came to the crease for RCB and batted brilliantly alongside Will Jacks. At the time of writing this article, the duo were unbeaten in the middle, taking RCB to 110/2 after 10 overs.
