Mumbai Indians (MI) lost a close game to Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on April 30 in Lucknow in the ongoing IPL 2024. With this loss, MI remained at 9th spot in the points table with 7 defeats from 10 games now.
Birthday boy Rohit Sharma couldn’t do much on his special day as he managed just 1 run after MI was asked to bat first by KL Rahul, the LSG skipper. MI was kept to 144/7 in 20 overs with Nehal Wadhera (46), Tim David (35*), and Ishan Kishan (32) being the major run-getters.
In response, Marcus Stoinis led the way for LSG with 62* as the home team won by 4 wickets in hand in the final over.
After the match, Rohit Sharma was seen in a light-hearted moment with LSG star Amit Mishra. The veteran leggie has been playing for a long time and Rohit has known him for a long time and that was evident on Tuesday.
In the video, Rohit Sharma is talking to Mishra about his age and is amazed that the leggie is just 3 years older than him. Rohit reacted in his trademark fashion and they went on to have a completely funny conversation about Mishra's age.
Mishra revealed that he was 41 and Rohit teased him by saying that the spinner made his debut when he was "in his nappies".
