IPL 2024: Cricket fraternity lauds Sunil Narine as his maiden IPL ton propels KKR to 223/6 against RR

Sunil Narine made a mockery of the Rajasthan Royals bowling attack at the Eden Gardens.

Opening the innings, Narine launched a brutal attack on RR bowlers right from the word go. The southpaw added 85 runs for the second wicket with Angkrish Raghuvanshi.

While Raghuvanshi got out after scoring 30 off 18 balls, Narine continued his carnage and went on to slam a hundred in just 49 deliveries. He notched up his maiden IPL ton with a boundary off Yuzvendra Chahal in the 16th over.

Two overs later, Trent Boult dismissed Sunil Narine for 109 off 56 balls. His brutal knock was studded with 13 fours and 6 sixes.

In the death overs, Rinku Singh produced a blistering cameo of 20 not out in just 9 balls to propel KKR to a mammoth 223/6 in 20 overs.

Trent Boult and Avesh Khan were the pick of the Rajasthan bowlers. While Boult managed to claim a wicket by conceding 31 runs in his four overs, Avesh returned with the figures of 2/35 in his quota of overs.

For his breathtaking display with the bat, Sunil Narine received rich praise from the cricket fraternity on social media.
