In a video that went viral recently, Sri Lanka pacer Matheesha Pathirana was seemingly seen touching his CSK captain MS Dhoni’s feet in the recent IPL 2024 match against Gujarat Titans (GT).

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) stamped their dominance with a resounding 63-run victory over GT in a brilliant performance.

During the match, Sri Lanka pacer Matheesha Pathirana's heartfelt gesture towards the legendary MS Dhoni before commencing his bowling spell garnered widespread admiration.

The video of Pathirana stroking Dhoni's feet went viral on social media, sparking a surge of praise from fans all over the world.

However, a couple of users on social media platform X, have shared videos which show the other camera angle of the incident. The previous videos showed the front on angle which showed Pathirana seemingly touching Dhoni’s feet.

But the X users shared the video from the other perspective and it actually showed what happened. Pathirana had bowed down near Dhoni’s feet, but not to touch them, just to pick up his bowling marker.
