Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) is currently gearing up for an intense IPL 2024 clash against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Friday, March 29.

This highly anticipated clash of the ongoing IPL 2024 will feature a showdown between some of the biggest stars in the cricketing world.

Players like Sunil Narine and Andre Russell from KKR will undoubtedly be key figures in the game, while RCB will rely on the likes of Virat Kohli, Faf du Plessis, and Glenn Maxwell to lead their charge in the match.

However, amidst these prominent matchups, RCB’s wicketkeeper-batter Dinesh Karthik hilariously suggested that the real showdown to watch out for is between Gautam Gambhir and Kohli.

Karthik’s lighthearted comment was referring to the past altercation between Gambhir and Kohli during the IPL 2023, when the former Indian opener served as a mentor for the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG).

Dinesh Karthik said in RCB's match preview: “Virat Kohli vs Gautam Gambhir (smiles). Mitchell Starc to Glenn Maxwell will be very interesting. Varun Chakravarthy to me (Dinesh Karthik) will be very interesting.”

Notably, KKR would like to extend their winning streak in the ongoing IPL 2024, having won their last game against the SRH, while RCB is also coming into the game on the back of their 4-wicket win over the Punjab Kings (PBKS).

So, RCB and KKR would both be looking for a win in Bengaluru on Friday.
