Mumbai Indians (MI) opener Rohit Sharma was in the mood to have some fun ahead of his team’s IPL 2024 clash against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.
Rohit hilariously pulled Mayank Agarwal's legs, reminding SRH batter of the send-off he received from KKR pacer Harshit Rana in the first match.
During the sixth over of SRH’s innings, Rana dismissed Agarwal for 32 off 21 balls. After claiming the prized scalp, the right-arm quick blew a flying kiss towards Agarwal.
The Sunrisers opener was not one bit pleased with the send-off as he stared at Rana for a few seconds before making his way back to the pavilion.
In a video doing rounds on social media, Rohit imitated the flying-kiss celebration of KKR’s young fast bowler.
Rohit Sharma’s banter didn’t only leave the fans in splits but also brought smile on the face of Mayank Agarwal.
Both MI and SRH will look to register their first victory when they take on each other in Hyderabad. While the five-time champions started their season with a narrow 6-run defeat against Gujarat Titans, the 2016 winners lost to KKR by 4 runs in their campaign opener.
