Ahead of the IPL 2024 mini-auction, all ten franchises have revealed their squad decisions by announcing who they are keeping and which players were released. Some big names being retained caught a lot of attention, and some of the releases also surprised cricket fans.

Well, the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) made a surprising move by releasing Harshal Patel ahead of the mini-auction, which is set to be held in Dubai on November 19.

Harshal played a crucial role for RCB in the last three IPL seasons and even won the Purple Cap for most wickets in IPL 2021.

The decision to part ways with him has stirred up emotions in Harshal Patel, who shared his feelings through a heartfelt social media post that has gained widespread attention.

The 33-year-old thanked the fans and the RCB franchise while recalling some special memories with the team He talked about the amazing three years and thanked everyone in the RCB who helped him in tough and happy times.

Sharing some pictures on Instagram, Harshal Patel wrote in the caption: “I want to share some special memories I've had with @royalchallengersbanThe lastre. Last three years have been an incredible journey for me. I want to thank everyone in the team who stood by me through thick and thin.
