Devon Conway picked Dhoni, Raina and Jadeja as part of his all-time CSK XI | IPLNew Zealand opener Devon Conway has revealed his all-time Chennai Super Kings (CSK) XI after he was part of the IPL 2023 winning squad. In what can only be called a huge shock, his all-time CSK team does not include the second-highest wicket-taker in IPL, Dwayne Bravo, and ace spinner R Ashwin.

The New Zealander has played two seasons for CSK and in IPL 2022, had made 252 runs 7 matches with the best score of 87 at a strike rate of 145.66. He was a valuable addition to the CSK team after the retirement of Shane Watson.

He complimented Ruturaj Gaikwad well and in IPL 2023, showcased his talent in full flow, making 672 runs in 16 matches with 6 fifties to his name and best score of 92* and a strike rate of 139.71.

While having a chat on the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) social media, Conway was asked to share his all-time CSK XI and interestingly, along with usual yellow army legends, he included Ben Stokes in the side as well.

“There’s no Fab 4 right now, there’s Fab 3,” Aakash Chopra leaves out Virat Kohli from his list of ‘Fab 4’ batters in world cricket

He picked Ruturaj Gaikwad to open the innings for the team with CSK legend Faf du Plessis, who played for CSK for a decade from 2011-2021. Conway then named ‘Mr. IPL’ Suresh Raina at no.3 spot and Ambati Rayudu at no.4.

Ben Stokes was a shocking pick by Conway for his all-time CSK XI | IPL-BCCIRayudu retired from cricket in India after winning the IPL 2023 with the CSK team. Then Conway was shocked by picking Ben Stokes in the side, who made his debut for CSK in IPL 2023 and could only play 2 matches due to injury and was then benched with Moeen Ali being preferred over him.

Then he named two spin all-rounders Moeen Ali and ex-CSK captain Ravindra Jadeja in the XI. Jadeja had hit the winning runs for the side in the IPL 2023 final.

Then came none other than the skipper MS Dhoni, who became only the second captain to win five IPL trophies in 2023.

As for the pace attack, Conway went with Albie Morkel, L Balaji, and Deepak Chahar.

Ruturaj Gaikwad, Faf du Plessis, Suresh Raina, Ambati Rayudu, Ben Stokes, Moeen Ali, Ravindra Jadeja,  MS Dhoni (c & wk), Albie Morkel, Deepak Chahar, Lakshmipathy Balaji
