Mumbai Indians (MI) are facing Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the IPL 2023 Eliminator at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai on Wednesday (May 24).
The five-time champions won the toss and opted to bat first. Much was expected from MI captain Rohit Sharma in the all-important match but he got out after scoring 11 off 10 balls.
LSG pacer Naveen-ul-Haq got rid of Rohit in the fourth over of MI’s innings. After claiming the prized scalp, Naveen, who became the talk of the town after his altercation with Virat Kohli earlier in the season, pulled off shut the outside noise celebration.
Here’s the video:
Naveen-ul-Haq celebrated the big wicket by covering both his ears with his fingers and it reminded the fans of KL Rahul's celebration.
Besides Rohit, Naveen also dismissed Camero Green, Suryakumar Yadav and Tilak Varma during MI’s innings. He eventually returned with the stunning figures of 4/38 in his four overs.
