Ahead of Delhi Capitals’ (DC) IPL 2023 match against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the Chepauk Stadium on Wednesday, May 10, the DC players were asked to describe the mercurial Chennai captain MS Dhoni in one word in a fun video.
David Warner and the company will attempt to defeat Chennai Super Kings in order stay alive in the IPL 2023 playoff race. To remain in the running, Delhi must win all four of their games, including the game against CSK.
DC has won four of their past five games and will undoubtedly think they can defeat a determined CSK team.
On the other hand, Dhoni's team is presently in second place in the IPL 2023 points standings. If they win tonight against Delhi, they will achieve 15 points, which would bring them closer to a spot in the playoffs.
Revered for many years for his hand in CSK’s four IPL title wins, and his previous heroics with the Indian team, ‘Thala’ has earned respect like few players have, even from players from opposition teams.
DC’s Twitter handle shared a heartwarming video of their players trying to describe MS Dhoni in one word. The video starts with Ishant Sharma who calls Dhoni his ‘big brother’, followed by Akshar Patel who lauded the CSK skipper as ‘Mr. Cool’.
Mitchell Marsh calls Dhoni a ‘legend’, while some of the youngsters came up with ‘Captain’ and ‘Finisher’. While one player called Dhoni ‘God’, Yash Dhull said ‘legend forever’ while Priyam Garg replied ‘aisa koi word hi nahi hai unke liye, wo bilkul alag hain’.
