IPL 2023: WATCH – LSG skipper KL Rahul leaves field after picking up hamstring injury against RCB

The LSG captain was seen holding his right thigh before the boundary cushions.

KL Rahul leaving the field | BCCI-IPLLucknow Super Giants (LSG) skipper KL Rahul has to leave the field after picking up a hamstring injury during his team’s IPL 2023 clash against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at Ekana Cricket Stadium on Monday (May 1).

During the second over of RCB’s innings, Faf du Plessis played a shot against Marcus Stoinis wide of cover and Rahul gave the ball a good chase but picked up an injury in the process.

The LSG captain was seen holding his right thigh before the boundary cushions. The physio also came out to check Rahul with the stretcher but he opted to walk his way back to the dugout, albeit in visible pain.

After Rahul left the field, Krunal Pandya took over the captaincy reins for the Super Giants.

KL Rahul is LSG’s second-highest scorer in the ongoing IPL with 274 runs to his name from 8 innings at a strike rate of 114.64.
