IPL 2023: WATCH- Rohit Sharma's angry outburst at Piyush Chawla for his horrible fielding miss

GT batted first and posted 207/6 in 20 overs, Chawla took 2/34 in his 4 overs.

Rohit Sharma left angry at Piyush Chawla's poor fielding effort | TwitterThe Mumbai Indians (MI) traveled to Ahmedabad to face off against defending champions Gujarat Titans (GT) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Motera in the 35th match of the IPL 2023 tournament.

Rohit Sharma won the toss and chose to bowl first and revealed that MI made two changes as Riley Meredith replaced Jofra Archer and Kumar Karthikeya Singh came in for Hrithik Shokeen.

Though Shubman Gill made 56 in 34 balls, it looked like GT would finish anywhere between 160-180 given the way MI bowlers were pulling things back. However, then Abhinav Manohar and David Miller turned the tide as they added 71 runs in just about 6 overs.

Manohar made 42 in 21 balls with 3 fours and 3 sixes and David Miller made 46 in 22 balls with 4 sixes and 2 fours. In the end, Rahul Tewatia with 20* in 5 balls with 2 sixes pushed GT to 207/6 in 20 overs.

Although Gujarat's power-hitting abilities in the slog overs left Rohit Sharma agitated, there was one incident during the innings that left him utterly fuming at his teammate Piyush Chawla.

Chawla had a good game with 2/34 in 4 overs, but in the 17th over of Gujarat's innings, he made a big blunder in the field, leading to his captain reacting angrily at him.

Meredith dished out a yorker delivery around off and Manohar squeezed it to the short third man. Chawla was stationed there and to pick and throw it quickly, he took his eyes off the ball and missed it completely.

Replays showed Rohit Sharma angrily saying something to Chawla for the error in a manic outburst. Chawla too was left immensely disappointed at his efforts.
