Delhi Capitals (DC) had lost the services of fast bowler Kamlesh Nagarkoti who has suffered a lower back stress fracture. The 2018 U19 World Cup winner Kamlesh Nagarkoti has battled back injury before as well.
He missed the whole of IPL 2018 and 2019 when he was bought and retained by the Kolkata Knight Riders in those two seasons. He finally made his IPL debut for KKR in 2020 edition and appeared in 12 matches for them.
However, he was released before the IPL 2022 auction, in which Delhi Capitals bought him. However, he hasn't played any competitive cricket in 2023 and was not able to crack into Delhi Capitals' playing eleven in their first five games.
Now it has been confirmed that the pacer will not be participating anymore in the IPL 2023 and DC have announced his replacement.
Uttar Pradesh batter Priyam Garg will replace Nagarkoti in the DC camp and the franchise have signed him for the base price of INR 20 lakhs. Garg has previously played in the IPL for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) for three seasons and played 21 matches after debuting in IPL 2020.
