Star India batter Virat Kohli is someone who wears his heart on his sleeve whenever he steps foot onto the cricket field.
While his aggression and competitiveness on the field is known across the globe, Kohli never misses a chance to enjoy himself out there in the middle.
On Thursday (April 20), Virat once again looked in his elements during RCB’s IPL 2023 clash against PBSK in Mohali.
Kohli, who stood in as captain for RCB in this match, was spotted playing ‘Rock Paper Scissors’ with teammate Glenn Maxwell.
The incident took place in the 11th over of Punjab’s innings when there was a Decision Review System (DRS) check going on. The on-field umpire had given Jitesh Sharma out after Harshal Patel trapped him in front of the stumps but the PBKS wicketkeeper challenged the decision.
During the review, all the RCB players except for Kohli and Maxwell had their eyes fixed on the big screen. On the other hand, Kohli and Maxwell were caught playing ‘Rock Paper Scissors’ and the video of their hilarious activity went viral on the internet.
After the game, Maxwell reacted to the viral video on Twitter. “Poor predictable Virat, always goes paper @imVkohli,” he wrote.
Coming to the match, RCB registered a comprehensive 24-run victory over PBKS. It was the third win of the season for RCB in six matches as they moved to the fifth spot on the points table.
Invited to bat first, the visitors posted 174/4 in their allotted 20 overs on the back of half-centuries from Faf du Plessis (84 off 56) and Kohli (59 off 47).
Defending the total, RCB rode on pacer Mohammed Siraj’s four-wicket haul (4-21) to bundle out PBKS for 150 in 18.2 overs.
