Mumbai Indians’ (MI) captain Rohit Sharma was ecstatic after his team’s win over Delhi Capitals (DC) in the ongoing IPL 2023 on April 11 in Delhi. MI managed to overhaul DC’s target on the last ball in a thrilling end.
Rohit starred with the bat to help Mumbai Indians beat Delhi Capitals by six wickets to claim their first IPL 2023 victory. Delhi batted first and was bowled out for 172. In response, Rohit top-scored with 65 off 45 balls, while Tilak Varma chipped in with 41 off 29 balls to put MI in command.
But then Mukesh Kumar removed Tilak Varma and Suryakumar Yadav on consecutive deliveries, while Rohit Sharma fell to Mustafizur Rahman. But Tim David with 13* and Cameron Green with 17* managed to take MI to win on the last ball.
Following the game, Rohit had a video call with his wife Ritika. During the chat, Rohit promised Ritika to bring the Player of the Match trophy for their daughter Samaira.
