Arshdeep Singh doing the Bihu dance | PBKS TwitterThe Punjab Kings (PBKS) started their IPL 2023 season well with a DLS win over Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at home in Mohali and Arshdeep Singh was one of the heroes for the Punjab-led side in their victory.

He picked three wickets for cheap runs and the PBKS will now hope for the left-arm pacer to do wonders when they face off against Rajasthan Royals in their next match in Guwahati, Assam on April 5.

This is the first time that the city is hosting an IPL game. Apart from the PBKS-RR game on Wednesday, Assam city will also host a game between RR and Delhi Capitals on Saturday.

Ahead of their game, PPKS have already landed in Guwahati and on Monday, star fast bowler Arshdeep Singh could be seen taking part in the Bihu dance.

During their Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 opener against Kolkata Knight Riders in Mohali on Saturday, Shikhar Dhawan, equaled a massive record held by Virat Kohli. Dhawan, who opened the innings with Bhanuka Rajapaksa, added a half-century stand for the opening wicket.

This was the 94th 50-run partnership for Dhawan in IPL history, bringing him equal to Virat Kohli of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). Suresh Raina is third on the list with 83 partnerships, followed by David Warner with 82.
