Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain Faf du Plessis and his predecessor Virat Kohli shared a laugh after the former made a hilarious error while quoting a slogan of the club during an event.

Instead of ‘Ee Sala Cup Namde’, Du Plessis said ‘Ee Sala Cup Nahi’. The original slogan means ‘This year the cup is ours’ and Kohli, who was sitting beside his skipper, was left in splits by the gaffe.

Royal Challengers Bangalore are yet to win the Indian Premier League title despite having some of the best cricketers in their ranks over the years.

While RCB have made three final appearances, they have failed to lift the trophy. The last final appearance was back in 2016.

The Faf du Plessis-led side will open its IPL 2023 campaign against Mumbai Indians at the Chinnaswamy Stadium on Sunday (April 2).
