Rajat Patidar put on a show with the bat in the IPL 2022 Eliminator.

Rajat Patidar | BCCI/IPLRajat Patidar put on a show with the bat at the Eden Gardens in the IPL 2022 Eliminator between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on Wednesday (May 25).

Patidar came out to bat early in the innings as RCB skipper Faf du Plessis departed for a first-ball duck. He took his time initially while batting alongside Virat Kohli but once the ex-RCB captain perished, Patidar shifted gears.

The right-hander took the LSG blowing attack to the cleaners, notching up his maiden IPL century with a six off merely 49 balls.

As soon as Rajat Patidar reached the three-figure mark, the entire RCB team were on their feet in the dugout. In particular, Kohli was overjoyed as he raised both his arms to celebrate Patidar’s milestone.

Virat Kohli’s reaction to Patidar’s ton became the talking point on social media, with netizens sharing pictures of the precious moment.

Here are the reactions:

Rajat Patidar ended up unbeaten on 112 off 54 balls. His knock was laced with 12 fours and 7 sixes. Thanks to his batting exhibition, RCB posted a mammoth 207/4 in their 20 overs.
