KANE WILLIAMSON

Kane Williamson | BCCI-IPLSunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) had a strange season in IPL 2022. They lost their first two games and then went on a five-match winning streak, but after that, they lost 5 games on a trot to crash out of the contention for Playoffs.

And one of the biggest reasons was captain Kane Williamson struggling at the top as an opener. He made 217 runs in 13 matches at an average of 19.63. However, the biggest thing that hurt was his strike rate of 93.50 in powerplays. Though many thought Rahul Tripathi should have been opening with Williamson struggling in powerplays, he continued to open with no improvement.
