When Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians, the IPL's two most successful franchises, meet, the atmosphere is electric. Despite the fact that there was little to play for, the IPL's El Clasico played out another entertaining encounter on Thursday evening.

After MI was already out of contention for the playoffs in IPL 2022, CSK had a shot, but with a five-wicket loss, the two best IPL teams of all time are no longer in contention.

Still, there was plenty to take away, most notably CSK's embarrassing batting collapse against MI, which saw them bowled out for 97.

The result drew the attention of everyone, including former India cricketers Yuvraj Singh and Suresh Raina, who were also watching an indoor football match.

Yuvraj teased Raina over CSK's performance in an Instagram story where he took a video of himself and Raina seated next to one other.

"Raina. Aapki team aaj 97 pe all out ho gayi hai. Kya kehna chahenge aap?" (Your team got bowled out for 97 tonight. What do you have to say?)- Yuvraj Singh asked.

In response, Raina came up with a gem of a reply: "Main nahi tha uss match mein" (I wasn't part of the match).

Raina was CSK's rock and has contributed to the franchise's long-term prosperity. Raina was a part of CSK from its commencement in 2008 until last season, with the exception of 2016 and 2017.

Raina, or 'Mr. IPL,' as he is affectionately known among fans, skipped the IPL 2020 due to personal circumstances, and when he returned the following year, he only managed to score 160 runs in 12 matches in IPL 2021.

Raina received no takers during the IPL mega auction this year. Raina has most likely played his final IPL match, and he will go down as a legend after hitting 5528 runs, 4687 of which came while playing for CSK.

Yuvraj, on the other hand, played four matches for MI in the IPL 2019 and scored 98 runs and retired from the game after IPL 2019.
