IPL 2022: Daniel Vettori picks his choice of four teams for IPL 15 playoffs

The IPL 2022 playoffs will be played in Kolkata and Ahmedabad.

Vettori picked RCB as one of the four teams that may make it into playoffs | BCCI-IPLFormer New Zealand cricketer Daniel Vettori has revealed his picks of which four teams might make it into the playoffs of the ongoing IPL 2022.

The first half of the IPL 15 threw up many surprises which sees five-time champions Mumbai Indians losing all 8 matches and four-time champs Chennai Super Kings winning only two encounters.

On the other hand, both the new franchises in Gujarat Titans (GT) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) have done extremely well, as GT is at the top of the IPL 2022 points table, while LSG lies in the 4th spot.

Vettori, while speaking to ESPNCricinfo, made some surprising choices for his teams into the playoff as named, “Rajasthan, the two new franchises and RCB. I think they have played well enough to be in this position now. I think the balance in their squads will be able to get them there.”

While Rajasthan Royals have done extremely well and are placed no.3 on the points table with 10 points from seven games, including five wins and two defeats; Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have 5 wins in 8 matches and are 5th on the points table and are struggling a bit with their batting.

A big omission on Vettori’s part was that of Sunrisers Hyderabad who have won 5 matches out of 7 played and are in red hot form.
