Buttler has been in the red hot form in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022. The opener has looked a class apart and is making a mockery of bowlers with his ability to clear the fence with ease.

Buttler is currently the highest run-scorer in the ongoing IPL 15. The right-hander has scored 491 runs in just 7 games at a healthy average and strike rate of 81.83 and 161.51. Not only this, he so far scored three tons as well to go with two half-centuries.

His sparkling form has been one of the main reasons behind Rajasthan Royal’s domination in the league. The Sanju Samson-led side has 5 wins from 7 matches and is placed third on the points table with 10 points to their name. Buttler has so far recorded the scores of 35, 100, 70*, 13, 54, 103 and 116 for RR.

Speaking on ESPNCricinfo’s Polite Enquiries, Jos Buttler said that from the past he would like to open innings with Sir Vivian Richards whereas from the current lot of players his dream opening partner is Rohit Sharma.

"From the past, it would be Vivian Richards. I would love to see him play T20 cricket. From the current, Rohit Sharma," Buttler said.

Buttler also said that Rashid Khan is the toughest bowler he has played in the power play, before calling his 93 against Mumbai Indians in IPL 2018 his best innings.

“Rashid Khan. He has got my number at the minute

“My best IPL innings was against in 2018 when I got 93, I think,” he said.

Buttler will be next seen in action when RR will take on Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on Tuesday (26th April) at MCA Stadium in Pune.
