IPL 2022: Cricket fraternity reacts as Jos Buttler’s third ton of the season propels RR to 222/2 against DC

Jos Buttler smashed his second consecutive century in the ongoing IPL 2022 season.

Jos Buttler | BCCI/IPLJos Buttler put on a show with the bat for Rajasthan Royals (RR) in their IPL 2022 clash against Delhi Capitals (DC) at the Wankhede Stadium on Friday (April 22).

In his last outing against KKR, Buttler had slammed 103 off 61 balls a few days back and the England batter continued his dominance versus DC as well.

Opening the innings, Buttler took a bit of time to get going as his partner Devdutt Padikkal attacked the DC bowlers. However, once he got his mojo back, Buttler tore apart the Capitals attack.

Jos Buttler completed his half-century off 36 balls and then went berserk. He started dealing in boundaries and notched up his second successive hundred in the ongoing IPL off 57 deliveries. In the process, Buttler shared a 155-run stand for the first wicket with Padikkal, who scored 35-ball 54 before getting out.

After reaching the milestone, Buttler continued his fireworks for a brief word. Mustafizur Rahman dismissed him in the penultimate over but not before he smashed 116 off 65 deliveries, including 9 fours and 9 sixes. It was his third century of the season.

In the death overs, skipper Sanju Samson too flexed his muscles, slamming 46 not out off 19 balls (5 fours and 3 sixes) to propel Rajasthan Royals to a gigantic 222/2 in 20 overs.

For his stunning batting display, Jos Buttler garnered rich praise from the cricket fraternity on Twitter.
