The Rajasthan Royals (RR) vs Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) of the ongoing IPL 2022 on April 18, 2022, belonged to two men as RR registered an entertaining win. Jos Buttler and Yuzvendra Chahal starred with the bat and the ball respectively.
While Buttler smoked 103 in 61 balls, his second century in the IPL 2022 and third IPL century overall; Chahal then turned on the magic with the ball, taking four wickets in an over including a hat-trick, and finished with figures of 5/40 as RR won the match by 7 runs despite scoring 217/5.
The match had several hilarious moments, and the duo of Jos Buttler and Yuzvendra Chahal created one more after they caught up for IPL TV after the game. Chahal has been after Buttler the moment he joined the RR franchise, harassing him about letting him open the innings.

The duo was seen in conversation after the match finished and a video of it was posted on IPL’s official website. Incidentally, it was the first time in IPL history when the Orange Cap holder scored a century and the Purple Cap holder took five wickets in the same match.
Chahal began by asking Jos if he was batting well only because Chahal was in line for the opener’s job.
“Absolutely. Your pressure is pushing me on in training and in matches. But no, I’m obviously delighted to score the century. I thought it was a brilliant game of cricket swinging to and fro with us,” replied Buttler while laughing at Chahal’s joke.
The Buttler asked Chahal about his bowling and the hat-trick, saying: “When you came back and took the hat-trick, you nearly had it against Mumbai Indians, so amazing for you to get it today, so how does it feel?”

Chahal replied: “It is an amazing feeling, because I’ve never had a hat-trick in my entire career, so I was thinking that I should be bowling a googly. But I remembered that in the Lucknow match, Avesh hit me for a six and I did not want to take a chance, so I thought that let’s bowl a leg-spin only and it might go for a dot bowl.”
Then Buttler touched upon how Chahal celebrated his hat-trick and asked him: “And the celebration? Were you trying to get a GQ modelling or something or nice pose?”
“It’s my favorite meme starting from the 2019 World Cup and it’s very special for me and I decided that whenever I do something special, I’ll do that,” laughed the leg spinner.
