The Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) carried on their good form and won their fourth match in a row as they defeated Punjab Kings (PBKS) by 7 wickets in the 28th match of the IPL 2022 on April 17, 2022.
Earlier, Kane Williamson of SRH won the toss and chose to bowl first. He went in the match with an unchanged XI, while PBKS had to make a forced change as captain Mayank Agarwal missed out due to an injury, as Shikhar Dhawan captained the side and Prabhsimran Singh replaced him in the XI.
Umran Malik with 4/28 and Bhuvneshwar Kumar with 3/22 was the star of the SRH bowling unit as PBKS managed 151 in 20 overs. This was also possible due to Liam Livingstone’s 33-ball 60 and Shahrukh Khan’s 26 runs.

In reply, Kane Williamson got out early for 3 runs, but then Abhishek Sharma (31) and Rahul Tripathi (34) steadied the ship a bit. SRH found themselves in a bit of trouble after these two got out, but then Aiden Markram with 41* in 27 balls with 4 fours and 1 six and Nicholas Pooran with 35* in 30 balls ensured that SRH crossed the finishing line without further damage.
SRH won the match by 7 wickets and 7 balls remaining. Rahul Chahar of PBKS took 2/28.
The cricket fraternity was all praises for the rejuvenated SRH team as they registered their 4th win in a row.
