The IPL 2022 will see two matches being played on Sunday, April 17, and the second match in the evening will see Chennai Super Kings (CSK) taking on the current table-toppers Gujarat Titans (GT) in Pune. Ahead of the crunch game, GT captain Hardik Pandya met up with his former India captain MS Dhoni.
Dhoni gave up the captaincy of the Chennai franchise days before the IPL 2022 began to Ravindra Jadeja; while on the other hand, Hardik Pandya was picked by GT in the draft ahead of the IPL 2022 auction and named captain of the side.

CSK will come into this match after registering their maiden win after four straight losses in the tournament. They defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore in a high-scoring battle. Gujarat, on the other hand, will be coming in after 4 wins in 5 matches and having defeated Rajasthan Royals in their previous match.
Hardik Pandya has often cited MS Dhoni as an inspiration to him and shared how close of a relationship he shares with the former India and CSK captain. Therefore, when he met with the India legend ahead of the GT v CSK clash, Pandya shared photos of his meeting with MS Dhoni on his social media.
