Match 28 of the IPL 2022 will see Punjab Kings (PBKS) taking on the red-hot Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai on April 17, 2022. The Sunrisers Hyderabad are coming into this match on a three-match winning streak, while PBKS won their last match against Mumbai Indians.
SRH have turned around their IPL 2022 sojourn after a not-so-good start, while PBKS is yet to build a streak of wins in the Indian Premier League season 15 edition yet. Both the teams have found that perfect unit of 11 players each who can win the matches.
And keeping this in mind, Team COC presents the Predicted Playing XIs of the PBKS v SRH match.
PUNJAB KINGS
The Punjab Kings have found the best batting combination they can and for them, all of those batters are firing. Mayank Agarwal hit his first half-century of the IPL 2022, while Shikhar Dhawan and Liam Livingstone are bludgeoning the opposition bowlers to all parts of the ground.
Jonny Bairstow has just joined the franchise, but everyone is aware of his destructive capabilities. Jitesh Sharma has shown some amazing hitting talents, while Shahrukh Khan is waiting for that opportunity to showcase the much talked about hitting prowess that he possesses.
Rahul Chahar has been amazing with the ball in the tournament, both picking wickets and keeping runs down, getting help from Liam Livingstone. Kagiso Rabada and Arshdeep Singh have been excellent, while Vaibhav Arora has added a new dimension to their attack. Odean Smith might be getting pasted every now and then, but his all-around abilities are something the PBKS franchise needs.
SUNRISERS HYDERABAD
Sunrisers Hyderabad has found something that clicked for them and that has resulted in three straight wins for the Kane Williamson-led franchise. Abhishek Sharma and the skipper give a decent start at the top, but that aggressive impetus is missing in the powerplay.
However, Rahul Tripathi and Aiden Markram showed great form in the last match, especially in the last match. Tripathi, particularly, has been in the best form so far for SRH. Nicholas Pooran has slowly but surely found his hitting form, while Shashank Singh awaits his chance to bat.
They will still miss the services of Washington Sundar, but J Suchith is a decent replacement for the Tamil Nadu all-rounder. The trio of Marco Jansen, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, and T Natarajan have been excellent, while Umran Malik showed that he can also pick wickets apart from bowling balls at the speed of bullets.
