IPL 2022: From purple cap to this- Twitterverse shocked as Mohit Sharma joins Gujarat Titans as net bowler

Mohit Sharma was once one of the mainstays of the CSK bowling department and even won the Purple Cap for most wickets in IPL 2014 edition. He also was a part of the Indian team during the 2014 T20 World Cup and 2015 ICC Men’s World Cup.

A veteran of 86 IPL matches in which he has played 92 matches and 37 wickets in 34 international matches for India, Mohit Sharma has been roped in by Gujarat Titans (GT), captained by Hardik Pandya, as a net bowler.

He is not the only India pacer to be roped in as a net bowler by GT, left-arm speedster Barinder Sran, who played 6 ODIs and 2 T20Is for India and has been part of 24 IPL matches, was seen standing with Mohit in a photo shared by GT from their training camp at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Meanwhile, netizens were shocked to see a well-known India and Indian Premier League bowler like Mohit Sharma being relegated to a net bowler and commented on his downfall.
