The five-time Indian Premier League (IPL) champions Mumbai Indians (MI) unveiled their new look jersey for the upcoming IPL 2022 edition which begins in Maharashtra from March 26 onwards.
The MI team will be led by Rohit Sharma and had retained the likes of Kieron Pollard, Suryakumar Yadav, and Jasprit Bumrah apart from their skipper ahead of the IPL 2022 mega auction. Their biggest buy in the IPL 2022 auction was Ishan Kishan for INR 15.25 crores.
Meanwhile, they are placed in group A of the IPL 2022 which features 10 teams. Joining MI in group A are Kolkata Knight Riders, Rajasthan Royals, Delhi Capitals, and Lucknow Super Giants.
Rohit Sharma-led Mumbai Indians will begin their IPL 2022 campaign against Delhi Capitals on March 27 before taking on Rajasthan Royals in their second game on April 2nd. They will play their last game against Delhi Capitals on May 21.
In a good start to their campaign of the IPL 2022, MI unveiled their new look jersey which features Slice as their premier sponsor on the front of the shirt.
They unveiled the jersey on their official Twitter account with the caption reading: “The Colors, the Badge, the pride of Mumbai. Presenting to you.... our jersey for #TATAIPL 2022.”
