The Indian Premier League (IPL) will celebrate its 15th anniversary this year, a tournament in which many talismanic captains have proven their mettle, lesser-known players have made it big, and stars have left their mark. Many stars, both international and Indian have emerged from the lucrative T20 league.
Above all, the league has played a critical role in providing India with some good talent and, as a result, has become a favorite hangout for every budding cricketer.
The IPL has seen the emergence of two teams in its short history. While the Mumbai Indians have won the IPL five times, the Chennai Super Kings have won four times. Mumbai (58.52%) and Chennai (60.56%) both have a high win percentage, but the two teams have one thing in common: they both have talented leaders.

While captaining Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings respectively, Rohit Sharma and MS Dhoni have been outstanding, winning a total of 9 IPL titles amongst them.
Recently, Mumbai Indians put out a tweet asking the fans to name two captains and two teams if an all-star IPL match was to be played.
Former India spinner Harbhajan Singh, who played for both MI and CSK, named Rohit Sharma and MS Dhoni as two players who could captain the two all-star teams.
"If IPL had an All-Star game, what would be the two teams & who would be the two captains?" asked Mumbai Indians on Twitter.
Harbhajan responded with, "MSD and ROHIT captains".
